We're Back!

This is a quick additional entry that I just had to share. We have now traveled thousands and thousands of miles all over the country and have seen some outstanding sights.

Sometimes though, you don't have to travel very far from home to enjoy some of the same things. One of our last stops before hitting Spokane was Twin Falls, Idaho. We've been all over the Northwest as well in the 30 years we lived there. Somehow we missed this little gem though.

I had forgotten all about Evel Knievel's famous "unsuccessful jump" over the Snake River in 1974?
On the left is the launching ramp he rode that steam-powered, rocket-bike over.

Canyon wall,......meet Evil Knievel.

And an update to our travel map as well.

Until next time!

  1. Wow! we need to go there, too! :) You should just make us a list of places we need to go camping... we can try to hit one each summer... :)

  2. Friday it was still 95 degrees in Vancouver. Saturday it fell into the mid-80s and the next five days are predicted to be in the mid-70s. Did you or did you not bring the torrid weather with you up out of the South? Please come again next year and stay longer. Try to come earlier in your stay in the Spokane area to avoid hot weather, but, now, thanks to Sean, our air conditioner is in the window.

Sean, I'm having trouble transferring your blog from Google home to my new NetVibes home page. I don't understand what Google's doing in stopping the service I've been using for years. I hate them for it. Gnashing of teeth!!!!

Love to you both and to Shelby if she's tuned in here.
